Co-President of Nordstrom, Inc. chain of apparel stores. He was the great grandson of Nordstrom founder John W Nordstrom, and son of Bruce and Fran Nordstrom. He grew up on Mercer Island and attended Mercer Island High School. He spent his adult life working for Nordstrom in various posts. He began his career in the early 1970s sweeping floors in the stockroom and by 1976, was selling shoes in the downtown Seattle store. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1982. He went on to hold various positions in buying and regional management, became president of Nordstrom in 2000, joined the Nordstrom board in 2005, and served as co-president with his brothers, Pete and Erik, from 2015 to 2019. He was also a member of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco. He was predeceased by his mother, Fran. In addition to his wife, Molly Nordstrom, father, Bruce (wife Jeannie), and brothers, Pete (Brandy) and Erik (Julie), he leaves his children, Andy and Alex.
