Brenda was born on January 16th, 1944, in Charleston, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Luella and Lawrence Dillon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Stewart.
Brenda was previously employed by Gene Smith Dodge and Earhart Honda.
Brenda was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and sisters. She has a heart of gold. Her smile, laughter and kind nature touched all who knew her.
Brenda is survived by and will be greatly missed by her greatest treasure, her children: her sons, Brian Acord and his wife, Holly of Boise, Idaho, Greg Acord and Jason Wills of Beckley and a daughter, Lori Acord of Beckley; she will be lovingly remembered by a special brother, Derrick Dillon and his wife, Diana of Arnett; nieces and nephews, Tara (Rodney) Southern and Ben; Lance (Holly) Dillon, Hadley and Abram; she also leaves behind special aunts and cousins who loved her; dear friends, Carol Carter, Ann Lewis and Nancy Stevenson; as well as a caring host of extended family, friends, and neighbors. Special thanks to employees of REM for their care and friendship.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 4th at 1:00 pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Pastors Larry Kinder and Andy Davis will be officiating. Brenda will be laid to rest in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Pallbearers will be Larry Allen, Terry Dillon, Darren Dillon, Ronald Dickens and Charles Dickens. The family will be receiving friends at 11:00 am on Friday.
