Roger M. Head, 69, Lawson, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Kearney First Baptist Church 303 S. Grove St., Kearney, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m., under the direction of Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home. The family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions to Hidden Valley Golf Course for a memorial in his honor.
Roger was born June 2, 1945, in Milan, to Carl and Lorene Head.
Roger was very active in the community, serving as past Park Board and Lawson Baseball Association president. After retiring from Consolidated Freightways Roger worked for Lawson Manor and did maintenance for Lawson Schools. Roger loved to hunt and golf, you could often find him at Hidden Valley Golf Course.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, LeRoy and Mervyn Head and sister, Rena Nickell.
