Mr. Doyle Wayne Adams, age 51 of Douglas, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 1, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Southside in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Adams was born November 21, 1967 to the late Dwight Wayne Adams and Mrs. Betty Jo English Adams Lee. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Anderson.

Mr. Adams, a native of Coffee County, was a minister and earlier in his life he was a lawn mower mechanic.

Survivors include: Mother: Betty Jo English Adams Lee of Douglas, GA.; Adopted Son: Andy Knowles of Nicholls, GA.; Sister: Delena Adams of Douglas, GA; 2 Nieces and 1 Nephew; 1 Great Nephew and 2 Great Nieces; A large host of Christian Friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. John Carver and Rev. David Yancey officiating. The interment followed in Tanner Cemetery with Rev. Larry Stone conducting the graveside service.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
