Katharine Louise Callanan Williams "Kitty", 88, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at her home in Alpharetta, GA. She lived in Pensacola from 1953 until 2016 when she moved to Alpharetta, GA to be closer to family.

She was born May 20, 1928, the first child of Dorothy Harvey Callanan and Vincent de Paul Callanan in Homeopathic Hospital, Washington, DC. She attended Dixieland Grammar School, Lake Morton School and St. Joseph's Academy in Lakeland, FL, and St. James School, Orlando, FL, Robert E. Lee High School, Staunton, VA and graduated from Orlando High School in the class of 1945. She then attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA until the University of Florida admitted women in the fall of 1947. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in June of 1949. While at the University of Florida she met the love of her life, Albert Roland Williams, Jr. and they were married April 10, 1950 at St. James Catholic Church in Orlando, FL. She always said he offered her the best of both worlds by insisting she stay home and raise their children, and then having her join him in his accounting practice when all the children were in school. She dearly loved accounting, and helping others learn how to employ it in business. She retired from public accounting in 2000, and volunteered at St. Paul Catholic Church office until her health prevented further work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent de Paul and Dorothy Callanan, Orlando, FL; her husband of 58 years, Albert R Williams, Jr,; her brothers, Richard J Callanan, Cypress, CA and Maj. John V Callanan (USAF), Napa, CA and her son-in-law, Almer W Beale, II Jacksonville, FL.

She is survived by her sisters, Rita M. Everett, Alpharetta, GA, Dorothy J. Mitchell, Georgetown, TX and Jane F. Callanan, Orlando FL; her daughters, Nancy W. Beale of Brevard, NC, Anita K. Bainum of Charleston, SC, Martha H. Waid (Mike) of Gallatin, TN and her son, Vincent H. Williams (Shari) of Alpharetta, GA; her loving grandchildren, TAB (Annika), Stefanie, and Daisy Bainum; Kevin (Jourdan), Allison, and Colin Waid, Jessica Woods (Matt), and Albert R. Williams, III and great-grandchild, Ronan Waid.

She has donated her body to the University of Florida College of Medicine. A Memorial Mass will begin at 10:00am, Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Pensacola, FL and internment at Bayview Memorial Park. A reception will follow the committal service in the Geri Room at St. Paul Catholic Church.
