Joann Turley Gray passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018 with family by her side. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Joann was born January 29, 1934 in Sherman, TX to Thelma and J O Turley.
After graduating Sherman High School, she attended TCU on an academic scholarship. She moved to Austin in 1958 with her husband. They were blessed with two daughters and a son.
Joann was total Class! She was a great mom and an even better grandmother. Joann loved being with family and friends. Joann was a very independent lady who enjoyed her social life. She loved watching college football, especially the Longhorns and TCU.
Her faith in God was so strong and rich. She started every day spending an hour with God by reading her bible and daily devotionals.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Turley; her ex-husband, Robert Cecil Gray; and her daughter, Pamela Jo Gray.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Gray Hutchison; son, Mark Robert Gray; and two grandsons, Colton David Gray and Ethan Hankemeier.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr. Austin, TX.
