He was born on January 30, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, a son of James & Neoma (Hicks) Lange.
Mr. Lange was a veteran of the United States Army having proudly served from 1973-1979. As a sergeant, Mr. Lange was awarded many honors during his service including the National Defense Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal; Sharpshooter Badge with M16 Rifle; Sharpshooter Badge with Hand Grenade.
John was a prison guard for Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro, IL before retirement.
Graveside, military services were held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO
