Daphne Florence Hall, age 89, of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018 at Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living in Knoxville.
Originally from London, England, she was a “GI-Bride”, leaving her home at age 17 to come to the United States to marry her devoted and loving husband of 57 years, James Edward Hall, who preceded her in death in 2004. They both loved each other dearly, and took every opportunity to share that love with their family.
She is survived by her four children Jim Hall, Jr. and wife Janis of The Villages, FL; John Hall and wife Kristy of Knoxville; Virginia Hall of Knoxville; and Joe Hall and wife Tammy of Matthews, NC. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Aaron and wife Natalie, Andrew, Allyson, Cayla, Pamela, Aubrey and Emily, and great-grandchild Sydney. She is also survived by sister, Doreen Saltis of Fairlawn, OH, sister-in-law Mary Beller and husband Jim of Owensboro, KY, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thanks to the staffs of Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living and Smoky Mountain Hospice, who all were like extended family in providing her care over the past two years.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Anderson County Tennessee Humane Society (www.andersoncohumane.org).
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
