Stella Watts, 97, of Wylie, Texas, died at her residence there, on Saturday, December 22, 2018, with her family at her side. Stella was born on Wednesday, November 9, 1921 in Maud, Oklahoma to Roy Cherry and Cora (Davis) Cherry. Stella married Ralph Watts; she worked as a bookkeeper, and was of the Baptist faith. Stella was survived by her children, Gilbert Roy Watts and wife Judy, and Lynnette Kay Lamb, of Wylie. She was also survived by her five grandchildren, Randy Watts of Royse City, Rusty Watts of Wylie, Jason Lamb of Hephzibalh, Georgia, Melissa Lamb of Atlanta, Georgia and Cathy Crenshaw of Wylie; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Ralph Watts; and her siblings, Allen Cherry, Vernon Cherry and Leola Hinson. A graveside services was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, 28 December, at the Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, Texas.
