John Drake was a retired long haul truck driver of 42 years. He loved family, riding his Harley Davidson, traveling, the beach and most of all sitting on his front porch with his coffee to relax and enjoy life.
Mr Drake became ill with cancer and lost his fight on Christmas day, 2018. He leaves behind his love and life partner Jackie Love-Scogin, a son Timothy Paul Drake of Amarillo, Tx., a daughter Dearenda Drake Rush of Amarillo, Tx, a son Kevin Drake of Lubbock, Tx, a step daughter Pattie Roe of Lubbock, Tx, a step daughter ChrisAnn McBride of Wiakoloa, Hi, and a step daughter Regina Easlon Wilburn of Edmond, Ok. He had 5 grand children and seven great grand children. He also leaves behind a sister Lynda Louise Vaughn of Lubbock, Tx, a sister Joyce Cunningham of Leveland, Tx, and a brother Terry L Drake of Sedgewickville, Mo. He was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother Leslie Earl Drake and son Jerry Don Drake.
Mr. Drake moved to Arcadia, Fl in 2011 and attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
