Born in England, he had lived in this country for many years and was employed at several coal mines in the district, including the Lincoln Hill mine, before coming here. His wife, Stella, died on April 17, 1939.
He was a member of the Houston U. P. church and was affiliated with the B. P. G. E. of Carnegie.
The men who were in the office when he died were Hayward Engle of Canonsburg R. D., W. J. Baillie of McDonald, and Felix Sackinsky of the Miller plan.
Surviving are his father, Thomas Sr., of Curtisville; two sons, Richard, a student at the University of Maryland Medical School, and John at home; a daughter, Betty, a student in, the Chartiers high school ; two brothers, Charles and William of Curtisville; and two sisters, Isabelle of Curtisville and Mrs. Elizabeth Phillips of Hazelwood.
The body has been removed to the L. P. Speakman funeral home in Houston pending funeral arrangements.
