Rev. Daniel E. Hamilton, 75, of Vienna, VA died on December 26, 2018 at Sunrise at Hunter Mill. On May 13, 1972 he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Richmond by Bishop John J. Russell. Father Hamilton served as Parochial Vicar at Saint Louis Parish in Alexandria (1972-75), Saint John Parish in McLean (1975-79), Queen of Apostles Parish in Alexandria (1979-81, 1982-87), and as Administrator of Saint Stephen Parish in Middleburg (1981-82). He served as Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Woodbridge (1987-2000) and Saint Mary in Fredericksburg (2000-2002). He retired from active priestly ministry in 2002. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Bishop Michael Burbidge at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12805 Valleywood Dr., Lake Ridge, VA on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. Father Hamilton's body will be received for viewing at the church one hour prior to Mass. Interment Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington, P.O. Box 1900, Merrifield, VA 22116-1900.
