Mrs. Walker was a native of Vidalia, GA, but was a resident of Aiken County, SC for most of her life. She was a member of Couchton Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her devotional Bible and was a prayer warrior. She also enjoyed traveling to the mountains, reading a good book, and watching movies. She loved the time spent with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, James S. Walker Sr.; four children, Tanya Herron, Sarah Kneece (Chris), Kim Jones (Jackie), and Jim Walker (Amy); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six brothers, a sister; one step-sister; and she also left behind her special “girlfriends” and one special “buddy.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Barfield and Grace J. Wright and a brother, Kenneth A. Barfield.
