John Edmond Camp passed away at his home in Mustang, OK Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at the age of 96. John was the son of Cecil Leroy Camp and Alice Emily (Hubbard) Camp, born on April 29, 1922, in Seattle, WA. He served as a seaman first class in the U.S. Navy, inducted on Sept. 19, 1942, in Oregon and discharged on Jan. 20, 1946, in Oklahoma. He married Lillian K. Wallace Feb. 10, 1945, in Oklahoma City. He was Service Advisor for Bolen Oldsmobile for 20 years, retiring in 1983. He loved golfing with a group of special friends at the Midwest City Golf Club and volunteering at the Oklahoma City Regional Food Bank for eight years, until age 94. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Wright. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Lillian K. Camp, of the home; two daughters, Carol Andrews (Frank), of Yukon; and Susan Himes, Mustang; four grandchildren: Melanie Russell, of Edmond; Nathan Himes, of Oklahoma City; Shelley Johnson, of Edmond; and David Andrews, of Katy, TX; eight great-grandchildren: Tyler Russell, Taylor Russell, Brandon Johnson, Jake Johnson, Rafe Johnson, Blayne Andrews, Kollins Andrews, and Kyler Andrews; other family members and friends.
