Tim Tracy, 60, of Springfield, died at 8:40 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home. He was born on July 15, 1958, in Alton, the son of John Eugene and Marian J. O'Haver Tracy.
Tim graduated from Griffin High School and attended DeVry University. He was employed as a technician at several hospitals and wrote, sang and recorded music. Tim was passionate about music and loved Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys, which is what drew him to California at the age of nineteen. He was a free spirit and lived as he wanted to live with his passions pursued.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his siblings, Mary Sheila Tracy of Springfield, Eileen (husband, Brad) Wisler of Albuquerque, NM, and Terry Tracy of Springfield; niece, Tracy (husband, Kalvin) Davis of Albuquerque, NM; and nephew, Brian Wisler of Portland, OR.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, Springfield. A memorial ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m.
