He was born September 14, 1924, in Marseilles to William and Selistis (Hadley) Sharp. On July 3, 1948, he married Betty Jean Mathews of Dayton, IL who survives.
Harel was employed by Nabisco until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing in Minnesota and vacationing in Florida.
Harel is survived by his wife, Betty of 70 years; two granddaughters, Shannon and Allison Sharp; one daughter-in-law, Pam Sharp and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harel Jay Sharp, two brothers, Eugene and Cleo Sharp and a sister, Lucy.
