Willie Pearl McCallon Burns, 91, formerly of Lake Jackson, Texas died Thursday, December 27, 2018 peacefully at her home in Denton, Texas.  Mrs. Burns was born on May 21, 1927, she lived a full life with family, her faith in Jesus Christ, and loving service to others. 

Willie is survived by her sister, Gladys Stalsby of Denton, TX, daughter, Beverly Burns Hancock and son-in-law Joe Edwin Hancock of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Betty Burns Krohn and son-in-law Gary Krohn of Mansfield, TX, grandson, Matthew Krohn, wife Sierra Saldana Krohn, great grandson, Liam Krohn and great granddaughter, Finley Krohn and grandson, Nathan Krohn and wife Brittany Hoover Krohn; daughter, Barbara Burns Vallenari and son-in-law Greg Vallenari of Denton, TX,  granddaughters, Lauren Vallenari Applegate and husband, Doug Applegate, great granddaughters Ivy and Olive Applegate, granddaughters Whitney Vallenari and Kara Jo Vallenari, son, Billy John Burns, wife Debbie Perez Burns of Missouri City, Texas, granddaughters, Taylor and Sophie Burns and  a host of nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband John Williams Burns.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 1:45 P.M. to 2:30 P.M prior to the service at 2:30 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Jerry Regan officiating.   A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Welcome Cemetery in Taylor, Arkansas.
