Rex A. Anderson, 58, Auburn, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018.

Rex was born May 20, 1960 in Topeka, the son of Clayton and Bernadine (Wohler) Anderson. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1978 and attended Kansas State University.

He was employed by Canon Solutions America as a repair technician for over 30 years.

He was an avid outdoors man that loved anything to do with animals and nature. He was a supporter of both the Kansas City Royals and the Chiefs.

Survivors include his mother, Bernadine Anderson, Topeka; brother, Dennis (Diann) Anderson, Auburn; son, Gray (Kristin) Bothwell; grandson, Liam Bothwell, all of Topeka; and nieces, Shelby (David) Sabin and Cody Anderson, all of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. A reception will follow the service at Mount Hope.

Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society or the Friends of the Topeka Zoo, Topeka, Kansas.
