Charles Malette Knowles, 74, of Milan died Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 following a brief illness. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mr. Knowles was the son of the late Dave and Aldine Spires Knowles. He had retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company and was a member of New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Louise (James) Fennell, Laverne (Johnny) Cranford, Neva Jane (John Paul) Horton, Floyd (Donna) Knowles Jr., Don (Jan) Knowles, Johnny Fussell, Mary (Bob) Hodge, David (Elma) Fussell and Benny (Ann) Thomas. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
