Thomas was the son of Abraham and Elizabeth (Coupland) Isaacs. He married Margaret Elizabeth Willows on December 28, 1872, Macon County, Missouri. His children include William Henry and Isabelle.

"Thomas Isaacs, who recently died here, was a member of the Temperance Mutual Benefit Union, of Kansas, carrying a life insurance policy in the same. The State Agent, Wm. M. Cooly M.D., was in town the first of last week to procure the proper information regarding Mr. Isaacs’ death and attend to the policy fund at once."
