In the early morning hours of December 27, 2018, Carol Jean Graham, 84, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away after a hard fought struggle, surrounded by her loving family at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. All who knew Carol knew her love for God and her love for her children and grandchildren. She will always be dearly missed.

Born on August 9, 1934 in Licking County, Ohio, Carol was the daughter of the late Finley T. and Goldie Pearl Rice Fry. On March 29, 1952, Carol married Richard O. Graham, who preceded her in death on August 21, 2016. Richard and Carol were the previous owners of R & M Furniture and Graham’s Upholstery.

Carol is survived by six children, Diana (Kenneth) Beaton of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Deborah Hughes of Gallipolis, Mickey (Laurie) Graham of Gallipolis, Shari (Rob) Rocchi of Gallipolis, Bradley (Nancy) Graham of Gallipolis, and Brent (Linette) Graham of Fairfield, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren, Sabrina Graham (John Stancik), Nicole (Lee) Labor, Kara (John) Allen, Rob (Melissa) Beaton, Katie (Jeremy) Adams, Adam (Tiffany) Rainey, Stephanie (Kerry) Jones, Jennifer (Jason) Beaver, Anthony (Elizabeth) Hughes, Hannah Graham, Samantha Graham, Zachary Graham, Brandy (Michael) Davis, Broc Rocchi, Brant Rocchi, Jillian (TC) Beaver, and Gus Graham; twenty-six great grandchildren, Caiden Stancik, Evan Stancik, Verity Labor, Jacob Allen, Aaron Allen, Gracie Allen, Max Adkins, Elliott Adkins, Emma Adkins, Abigail Adams, Isaac Rainey, Aaron Rainey, Shelly Rainey, Josie Rainey, Logan Jones, Heath Jones, Katelyn (Alex) Stapleton, Justin Beaver, Austin Beaver, Madison Beaver, Micah Hughes, Blake Davis, Bo Davis, Brax Davis, Eloise Beaver, and Matilda Beaver; one great great grandchild due in February 2019, Airabella Rayne Stapleton; one sister, Sarah Kaiser of Mount Vernon, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn Sheets of Grove City, Ohio and Linda Graham of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Richard O. Graham, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Theresa Graham; son-in-law, Michael Hughes; son-in-law, Paul Rainey; great granddaughter, Bee Beaver; and sisters, Glenna Whealdon and Dorothy Lewis.

The funeral service for Carol will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Minister John Wilbur and Minister Carlton Schooley officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Carol’s grandsons, Rob Beaton, Adam Rainey, Anthony Hughes, Zachary Graham, Broc Rocchi, Brant Rocchi, and Gus Graham will serve as pallbearers.
