Bonnie Ruth (Armer) Fansler was born February 14, 1925 to James and Lena Armer in a settlement above Kingston, Arkansas and lived in Greenfield most of her adult life.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Carl in 1999, whom she married February 12, 1943. She was the last of 9 siblings to make their way to the Lord's Table. Sisters - Dorpha, Annis and Hester; 5 brothers, Dennis, Raymond, Arnold, Charlie and Vernon preceded her in death.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter Lori (Fansler) Van Dyck; son-in-law, Paul and Grandson Nathan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was always there for her family and those who needed help. Bonnie and her husband Bill ran the Rainbow Inn in Greenfield for almost 20 years before they retired.

She loved to hunt and some of the best stories sprung from a Toyota jeep hunting with Bernice (Gould) Borzini and Pat Borzini - saving that pint of apricot brandy to polish off in celebration of a successful hunt. And one of them exclaiming "would you look at that f******? Just look at it!" She taught her Grandson Nathan to hunt and was there with him when he got his first buck at age 12. They spent many a night holed up in their sleeping bags under the stars and eating what they had hunted that day (Squirrels? Dove?) She was a lover and teacher of nature. They shared a very special bond and do to this to this day.

During retirement Bonnie and Bill gardened and enjoyed fishing with friends. After Bill passed you could almost always find Bonnie in her garden, growing vegetables and flowers. Sitting on her porch at her place on Elm Ave. and in the afternoons winding down as the wind was winding up, enjoying a Coors light before dinner.

When she was 91, she went to live with her daughter and son-in-law in San Jose, eventually moving to La Pine, Oregon in June 2018 where she immensely enjoyed the birds and wildlife right outside her window.

A special thank you to Dante, Lester and Debbie Arbrun as well as the Thorp boys for their help and farming entertainment and for watching out for her as she advanced in age. To her caretakers, Gloria Robledo in San Jose and Tina Marie in La Pine, Oregon - thank you for taking care of Mom like she was your own.
