She was born in Highland County on September 7, 1939, a daughter of the late Robert Samuel and Alice M. (Puffenbarger) Arbogast. On June 20, 1959 she married the late James Lee Hefner.
Mrs. Hefner was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church, as well as the Beulah Presbyterian Women. A caring person, she demonstrated a selfless dedication to others throughout her life and will be remembered as an extraordinary cook, who never let people go away hungry. Above all, she was a proud, devoted and loving mother.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Myra McLynn.
A private family memorial service will be held in Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Richard "Rick" Hill officiating.
