Burial with military honors will follow in the Poston Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
A visitation for the family and friends of Mr. Poston will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26th at Hornbeck First Baptist Church and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
Mr. Poston was born on August 6, 1926, and passed away on December 22, 2018, at the age of 92. He lived in Louisiana most of his life and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Poston was a heavy equipment operator and worked on pipe lines too. Together with his wife, they owned and operated the Anacoco Spillway Park for 21 years. He served on the Police Jury for Ward 2 and was a life-long Mason and former Grand Master. Mr. Poston enjoyed refurbishing tractors and other antiques that he acquired from flea markers and auctions. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, and they will remember his endless energy and love of life.
Mr. Poston was preceded in death by his parents C.M. and Marjorie Poston, daughter Beverly K. Cobb, and brother Bryan A. Poston.

brother Charles M. Poston Jr. and wife Carole of Scottsdale, AZ
fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren
and a host of friends and family.
Pallbearers will be George Cobb, Reggie Booth Jr., Patrick Poston, Chris Cobb, Michael Mason, and John “Chip” McKee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Reggie Booth Sr. and Benny Poston.
