According to my records, my Grt.Grandfather was Major D. "Pap" Holder of Tennessee, born in Feb. 1827. Buried in Nolan Co., TX at Palava Cem.. He was married to Polly Ann Ray of NC in Sep. 1847. They had 6 children. Any info regarding him would be invited.

Major Danse Holder was the son of Berryman G Holder, b.1810 NC d. 1842 Gibson Co., TN & Priscilla Bledsoe b. 1806 NC. The burial locations of these parents are not known at this time.
Probably the best proof of this is the 1880 census where Major Danse is listed in the household of James S Holder as a brother.
