Mrs. Dorothy Sprague, age 94, of Newport, RI, passed away on December 24, 2018 in Chesaning, MI.

Dorothy was born in Fall River, MA to Daniel Caron and Emily (Oliver) Caron. Dorothy was the wife of the late Robert Sprague.

Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren, Kevin (Tammy) Paul, Bernard Paul, and Brian (Danafaye) Paul; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in Newport.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith A. Paul; her siblings, Daniel Caron, Francis Caron, Alice Loftus, and Evelyn Cox.

Mrs. Sprague retired after 33 years at the GE Monowatt plant in Newport. In retirement, she was a volunteer at Newport Hospital for nine years. She lived in Michigan over the last eight years after her daughter's passing.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 30 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.

Funeral services for will be held on Monday, December 31 at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will follow at Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.
