Regina Jo Reed, 59, of Sachse passed away on December 24, 2018 in Richardson, Texas. Services at Wesley United Methodist Church by Pastor Quinton Gibson Sr. with burial at Waco Memorial Park.
Regina was born to Johnnie Louis and Nora Estena McLennan on June 25, 1959 in Brunet, Texas. She was the youngest of five children. She departed this life on December 24, 2018.
Regina was dedicated to Christ at an early age at West Point United Methodist Church in Valley Mills, Texas. She continued her relationship with Christ throughout her life and was a member of several churches during her lifetime including Wesley United Methodist in Waco, and at the time of her death was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano.
Regina was educated in the Waco Independent School District, and graduated from Waco High in 1977. Regina's love for helping others called her to nursing and she graduated from McLennan Community College and began working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Waco. Regina then returned to school to further her education and become a Registered Nurse and received an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from McLennan Community College in 1994. Regina continued her career at the VA Hospital and worked there faithfully for over 25 years until her health no longer allowed her to in 2007.
Mrs. Reed was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all that knew her. She was always there to lend a helping hand, listen, offer advice to so many. Regina touched numerous lives and will be missed by all that knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her 2nd husband, three sons, one sister, two brothers, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
