Tammy was an avid dog lover and rescuer. She spent her time rescuing dogs, loving them and placing them in loving homes. She was known to be a bit of a beach bum, and enjoyed travelling. It is said that she has rescued and placed over 250 dogs. Tammy is survived by her husband: Samuel * of Gladewater; brother John P Vickery IV; father John P Vickery III and his wife Sue.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Donna Marie 'Edmonston' Vickery-Scott-Garza-Elliott.
A service to celebrate Tammy's life will be held at 4:00 p/m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX. The family wishes that memorials be made to Texas Star Rescue.
