Victor Barry Clark, age 75 of Charleston, died on October 17, 2018 at Charleston Area Medical Center of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Victor was born April 17, 1943 to Vergil and Wava Clark in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Victor graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1961 and attended Texas A&M University before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1964. He was a Vietnam War veteran and served on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Constellation. After release from active duty in 1967, Victor joined his family in Morgantown, WV. He graduated from the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics in 1971.

He worked for the Monongalia County Health Department before moving to Charleston, WV in 1972. There he began a 40-year career with the West Virginia Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Disability Determination Services. He began working as a Disability Claims Examiner and received several promotions serving the agency in multiple positions including Medical Relations Officer, Casework Unit Supervisor, Professional Relations Supervisor and Area Administrator. He retired in October 2012.

Victor was a good man. He was a faithful and supportive husband, father and grandfather. He was a good friend and a good neighbor. One of his joys was golf. He was very proud of his 102-year-old mother and thankful for the excellent care his sister Janet Magee continues to provide for her.

Victor was predeceased by his father, Vergil Clark.

He is survived by his mother Wava Clark; wife Drema Clark; daughter Kelly McMinn (Edward); grandchildren Samuel McMinn (Katlyn) and Jordan McMinn; sister Janet Magee (Edward); nephew Mark Magee; niece Claire Magee and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Elk River Church of the Nazarene, 143 Dutch Road, Charleston, WV on January 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Ledsome officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour before the service.

A military honors ceremony will be held January 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, 130 Academy Drive, Dunbar, WV.
