Mission - Patsy Ann West, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was born on March 13, 1931, in McAllen, Texas to William and Melinda McGilvray. She married the love of her life, George West, on March 9, 1950. Together they had three sons. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother spending lots of hours cooking and baking for her family and extended church family. She loved the Lord and devoted many years to serving on the kitchen committee for First Baptist Church of McAllen. She helped her husband develop and manage Westway Mobile Home Park.

She is survived by her three sons, Bill (Beki) West of Williamsport, PA, Charles Gene (Sue Ellen) West of Laguna Vista, TX, and Clay (Evelyn) West of Falfurrias, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren whom she loved very much, Lela (David) Culberson, Gina (Ryan) Crace, Michael (Kayla) West, Kristin (Isaac) Herrera, Cassidie (Ben) Luther, and Charles (Mandy) West and nine great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband, George, her parents, two brothers and her sister.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 28th, 2018 at First Baptist Church in McAllen, TX. Private burial will be held at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to First Baptist Church of McAllen or a charity of your choice. Patsy has reunited with her beloved husband in heaven and what a day that will be when we all get to join them. Services have been entrusted to the Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
