Cook was an Australian television and stage actress, best known for her roles in television series such as A Country Practice, E Street, The Restless Years and The Flying Doctors. Her most well-known role was as veterinarian Vicky Dean in the drama series A Country Practice from 1981 to 1985, a role for which she won a Logie Award in 1981. She was also a spokesperson, board member, fund raiser and supporter of many high profile charities and organisations. Cook passed away after a battle with breast cancer.
