Rondal, 91, died after a long and well lived life on December 24, 2018 in Franklin, Texas.

He was born on August 16, 1927 in Elliott, Texas to Jack and Viola (Davis) Brewer. Rondal graduated from Franklin High School in May 1945. He served in the U. S. Army from 1945 to 1948 being stationed in Korea. Rondal married Norma Jean Cornelius on April 16, 1949.

Rondal worked for the First National Bank of Franklin in 1948-1953. Then in Bryan for Verisco Lumber and The First Bank & Trust. Rondal returned to Franklin's First National Bank in 1962 as head teller and was named President of the bank in 1971.

In 1981 Rondal and Jean retired from banking and moved to their acreage outside of town to raise cattle and plant gardens along with the great joy of sharing it with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rondal was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his two brothers, Curtis and Dan Brewer.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean of Franklin; his two sons, Joe and Sheila Brewer of Liberty Hill, Texas and Jim and Lisa Brewer of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren, Jeremy (and Pattie) Brewer, Amanda Brewer, Shauna Cosper, Sarah Brewer, Tim (and Tara) Brewer; two "bonus" grandchildren, Kati Hiatt and Buddy Hiatt; six great-grandchildren, MaKieley, Marley, Maddox, Myles, Jameson and Jacob; his siblings, Marie Buhman, Glen Brewer and Doris Theiss.

Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Franklin Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
