ACCIDENTAL DEATH: Died from injuries received after being thrown from his horse.

Son of Matthew Sr. & Frances Ann (Reese) Dale; he was youngest of their ten children. (Note, Matthew Jr's mother died when he was aabout 18 mos and his father died when he was 12 years.)

Matthew Jr came to Missouri in 1878, age 16 and worked on the farm of his future father in law, David P Coe. He married Matilda in 1886 when she was not yet 16. Matthew and Matilda had eleven children but only six grew to adulthood. The other five are buried in Byler cemetery with their parents, Matthew Jr and Matilda Dale.

-Amy Frances ((9/13/1893- )

After Matilda's death Matthew Jr. married Mrs Minnie Talbot, who was the mother of three daughters.
