Wanda Lee Gamble, 66, of Richmond, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City.

Wanda was born on October 19, 1952, in Kingsport, TN, to John and Thelma (Bishop) Watson. She was united in marriage to Francis Leon Gamble, Sr. of Kansas City, KS, on December 23, 1980; he preceded her in death on February 28, 1998.

Survivors include: two sons: Francis Leon Gamble, Jr. of Kansas City, KS, and Tommy Lee Gamble and his wife Shawntell of Kansas City, MO; two daughters: Crystal Sue Gamble and her wife Kathy Verdier of Richmond and Twyla Schwartz of Cameron; 16 grandchildren: Noel Gamble, Lane Gamble, Nicholas Gamble, Alexus Gamble, Austin Gamble, Justin Gamble, Dustin Gamble, Kaleb Schwartz, Kayla Schwartz, Tyler Gamble, Love Gamble, Aspen Gamble, Alicia Gamble, Dominic Gamble, Illiah Gamble, and Isaiah Gamble; and one great-granddaughter Gigi baby Skylar Elizabeth Gamble.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Richard Brown and Ted Bishop, her sister Deborah “Debbie” Ann Howe; and two grandchildren: Christian Gamble and Keiton Gamble.

Wanda worked as a unit secretary for Providence Medical Center for 21 years. She had lived in Richmond since 2006. She was of the Christian faith and especially loved her grandkids.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wanda Lee Gamble Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street - P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in Mount Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph.
