Connie Kay McGinnis, 72, of Metropolis passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. McGinnis was a licensed barber and co-owner of Elvis and Company. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Elvis McGinnis of Metropolis; two children, Lisa Dawn Hampton of Louisville and Leslie McGinnis of Metropolis; four grandchildren, Dakota (Kaley) McGinnis of Gainesville, FL, Kyle McGinnis of Metropolis, Kellie (Matthew) Lewis of Metropolis and Presley Hampton of Louisville; three great-grandchildren, Emree, Lillie, Katie; one sister-in-law, Pam (Ike) Turner of Metropolis; and two brothers-in-law, Gary (Paula) McGinnis and Warren (Wanda) McGinnis both of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews..

She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith Bonnell and Nina Masterson Bonnell; one brother, Rich Bonnell; and one sister, Debbie Stearman.

Memorial services will be at 12:00pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Forthman officiating. Private burial will follow.

Friends may visit the family from 10:00am to service hour on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church at 6804 New Columbia Rd. Belknap, IL 62908.
