J. Jerry Lang, 90, of Des Moines, passed away Wednesday, December 26th , 2018 at Valley View Village. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 29, 10 A.M. at Highland Park Presbyterian Church with a public visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
He was born May 12, 1928, in Des Moines to Raymond and Ila Lang. He graduated from North High School in 1947. Jerry married his wife Gloria Pedersen in 1950. They spent 68 years of marriage together. Jerry and Gloria started working in the family business, Lang Cleaners, after his father retired. They both retired in 1993.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Gloria, daughters, Sally (Darwin) Smith, Sharon Mayer (Larry Stevens), son Tom (LuAnn) Lang, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and on grand-dog, Lucy who adored him. He was preceded in death by his son Alan, daughter in-law Erna, his parents, brother and sister.
