Laura Belle Wallace, 93, of Shelburn, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born in Shelburn, on March 7, 1925, to Henry and Laura (Haupt) Wallace.
She was a 1943 graduate from Shelburn High School and a 1947 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College. She was a retired teacher from the North Central High School, and a teacher at Hymera High School, for a total of 42 years. She was on the Sullivan County Library Board, and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, William Henry Wallace; and survived by cousins and extended family.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 28, 2018, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, in Shelburn, with the Revs. Don Ransford and Jeff Blansett officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
