Phil was an outstanding person who was liked by everyone. I spent many years working with him on the MEC and found him to be an excellent worker and a very good friend who you could always count on. He will be sadly missed. Although I wasn't trained in Morse Code his fellow workers who worked with him during the morse code error said he was rated A sending and receiving the code. Working as a railroad telegrapher exposed him to a high-stress job that required high professionalism.
