WILLIAMSON, Barbara D., age 86, of Kettering, passed away Mon. Dec. 24, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton.

Barbara was a 1950 graduate of Fairmont High School in Kettering. In her younger days, she worked 15 years as an executive secretary at the Children’s Hospital in Dayton. She was a faithful member of Crossview Christian Church in Waynesville for 56 years.

Her highest priority in life was her Faith and the Church, rarely missing a church service in 56 years. She committed her life to being an example of a true Christian lady, exhibiting the characteristics she hoped her family would follow. Barbara was caring, giving, and always found the best in others. As a proper lady, she was neat, orderly, an immaculate homemaker, and insisted on family values within the home. Family meal times were at 5 PM each night and the plates and silverware had to be just right. In addition, she had an eye for style and enjoyed decorating, especially during the holidays. She greatly enjoyed writing poetry and would create a piece for most significant events. She also enjoyed cross-stitch, crocheting blankets, and collecting ceramics and memorabilia involving mice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin, in 1999; her parents Ralph Sr. and Esther Becker; her brother Ralph Becker Jr.; and her sister Joanne Becker. She is survived by her son Steve (Susie) Williamson; daughter Debbie (Joey) Dunnie; five grandchildren Sally (John) Skerl, Sara Benge (Zack), Steve (Sarah Beth) Williamson, Bobby Fortune, and Bethany (Tyler) Barton; eight great grandchildren Katelyn, Christian, Morgan, Andrew, Connor, Chet, Duke, and Ivie; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wed. Jan. 2, 2019 at Crossview Christian Church in Waynesville. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thurs. Jan. 3 at the church. Gary Stanton will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin
