MCLEANSVILLE Joanne Croker Wall, age 85, of McLeansville, NC, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, entered into the presence of her Lord Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Alamance Assisted Living and Memory Care. A celebration of her life and going home will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 10 at Brightwood Christian Church with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Joanne was born December 14, 1931 to the late Charles Milliken and Lina Davis Croker in Randolph County, NC. She played basketball in high school and was very proud of her trophy. She was an avid Carolina basketball fan and loved gardening, canning, baking cakes and making jelly. She worked in the cafeteria for the Guilford County Schools, and was an 18-year breast cancer survivor. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Bruce Lee Wall, daughters Teresa Mitchell Byrd and husband Tyson of Burlington, NC, Sheila Mell Moser and husband Wayne of Pleasant Garden, NC, Tracie Wall Cooper and husband Phillip of Pleasant Garden, NC, one sister, Elizabeth Johnson of Trinity, NC, grandchildren Heather Mitchell Schub and husband Cam, Clyde Lee Mitchell, III and Colleen Moore, Courtney Mitchell Fox and husband Brad, Brad Dills, Heath Dills, Kelly Dills, Brook Cooper and Mathew Cooper, great-grandchildren Kendall and Camryn Schub, McKenzie and Mason Fox, Tommy Dills and Braxton Wall, in-laws Henrietta Croker, Charles Dobbins, Marie Pike, Bill Hager, Aileen Reese, Shirley and Al Waters, Nanthalyn Wall and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death along with her parents by her brothers Charles and William Croker, sisters Leah Dobbins, Wilma Ball and Nancy Hager and her very special son-In-law, Clyde Lee Mitchell, II. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorials in her name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Breast Cancer Center.
