Mrs. Cheryl A. (Lehman) Forrest, 62, of Gehr Road, Waynesboro, PA and formerly of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born February 4, 1956 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary K. (Kauffman) Lehman.
She was a graduate of Greencastle High School with the Class of 1974.
In early years, she was employed as a waitress at Sunnyway Diner, Greencastle. She later worked for State Farm Insurance in Greencastle and Waynesboro for 30 years until her retirement in February, 2018.
She was a member of Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association and Cascade, MD American Legion Post #239.
She enjoyed time spent outdoors, whether camping or gardening. She also loved taking care of her home.
She is survived by four children, April DeGregorio and her husband, Randy of Dallas, GA, Donald T. Forrest, Jr. and his wife, Lynn of Blue Ridge Summit, Dana Forrest of Selinsgrove, PA and Donita Lyons and her husband, Michael of Fayetteville, PA; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her partner in life, Steven W. Carson of Waynesboro; one sister, Judy Shatzer; three brothers, Doug Lehman, Darrell Lehman and Carl Lehman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Donald T. Forrest, Sr. who passed away June 25, 2012; and a nephew, Michael Anderson.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Brown’s Cemetery, Foxville, MD.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday in the funeral home.
