LIGUORI, Weida M. (Elwell) 92, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018. She was born in Council, NC to the late Eddie James and Margaret Anne Gavin Elwell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 1/2 years, Genaro Daniel (Gene) Liguori; her brothers, Eddie and Charlie Elwell; and sisters, Margaret Wilkes and Frances Sanderson. Survivors include her children, Gary (Delores), Donald (Lou Ann), Michael (Ruth Anne), and Timothy (Marilyn); her five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was an active member in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, National Society Daughters of the Colonists and the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century. As a homemaker, she held her family and church as her top priorities. She retired from the South West Florida Water Management District after 23 years of service. Visitation will be from 10:30 am-12:30 pm, December 27, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home in Brooksville where funeral services will begin at 12:30 pm. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at the National Veterans Cemetery, Bushnell.
