Dorothy A. (Bringenberg) Harmon, 77, of Berwick went home with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Berwick, on Aug. 4, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Hazle E. (Topper) Bringenberg. “Dotty” was a graduate of Nescopeck High School, Class of 1959. She worked at Milco Industries for many years and later retired from Berwick Hospital.
“Dot” was an active member of Immaculate Conception (St. Mary’s) Church, Berwick, where she sang in the choir and attended Bible study. After retirement, she joined the Berwick YMCA where she participated in Senior Zumba classes. She liked working on crafts and making ceramics. She was a proud grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 58 years, William “Bill” H. Harmon III; sons: Michael Harmon and wife Vicki, Berwick, Kevin Harmon and wife Lorelei, Berwick; daughter-in-law, Lori Bean, Nescopeck; five grandchildren: Brent, Shannon, Brandon, Alec, and Kaitlin Harmon; twin brother, Donald Bringenberg, and wife Celeste, Berwick; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Harmon; and sister, Mary Louise Barratt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, 1730 Fowler Ave., Berwick, with her pastor, the Rev. Francis J. Tamburro, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Berwick. The family will receive friends in the church chapel from 9 a.m. until the prayer service at 10:45 a.m.
