Frank Davis, son of the late Felix N. and Rosetta (Dotson) Davis, was born June 15, 1890 in Oregon County, MO, and departed this life July 30, 1980 at his home at Rt. 2, Alton, MO, at the age of 90 years. He was united in marriage in 1919 in Oregon County, MO to Fronia Bolton, who preceded him in death in 1970.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was a Veteran of World War 1, having served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by three sons, Nate Davis of Fenton, MO; Bob Davis and Phil Davis both of Alton, MO; five daughters, Dovie Pickett of St. Ann, MO; Novella Hawk, Frances Cook, and Elsie Fearnely all of St. Louis, MO; and Darlene Ralston of Alton, MO; one brother, Jess Davis of Peoria, IL; four sisters, Lula Forster of Pocahontas, AR; Arville Huddleston of Koshkonong, MO; Aggie Jolliff and Georgia Haggia both of Peoria, IL; 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
His wife, his parents, two sons, Joe and Leonard, three brothers, and three sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Aug 2, at the Carter Chapel with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Interment was in Huddleston Cemetery under direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
