Stella was born Hanislava Ciepielusz Siopiolosz, the first child of Gustave Konstanty Ciepieclusz Siopiolosz and Agnes Cichocka. The family immigrated to Canada in 1903.

Stella married Joseph Peter Krulicki on August 27, 1913 in Berlin (Kitchener), Ontario. They were to have (at least) seven children:
- Eleanore Florence Krulicki Lehman 1917-2001
- Frank Krulicki 1918-1959
- Harold Joseph "Harry" Krulicki 1920-2011
- Helen Krulicki Lauzon 1922-2015
- Jerome Anthony Krulicki abt 1923-2012
- Florence Krulicki Burger 1928-1999
- Joseph Stanley Krulicki 1929-2010
Stella left the relationship with Joseph in 1930 and the couple divorced.

When Ephriam Linder died in 1964, his obituary identified Stella Ciepiewicz as his wife. From their obituaries, both Ephriam and Stella were life members of the Army, Navy and Airforce Veterans Association.

At her death Stella had taken on the "Paton" surname but nothing is known about this relationship. Stella's cremated remains were buried with her brother John in the Kitchener Mount Hope Roman Catholic Cemetery in an otherwise unmarked grave.
