John Clay and was the mother of sixteen children, including statesman Sen. Henry Clay. N.W. Watkins married Eliza Margaret Watson (1810-1878), a daughter of Goah Watson of New Madrid, Missouri. Gravesite Details
His tall obelus headstone was paid for by the State of Missouri Senate in respect for his services to the state of Missouri. In 2005, the tombstone received a professional cleaning before a horary ceremony a few weeks later.
