He was raised in Aniwa and moved to Antigo in 1940. For 44 years Werner was employed at the Vulcan Corporation in Antigo retiring as foreman and superintendent in 1985.
He was an avid camper and fisherman, enjoyed working in the garden, canning, dancing, shooting pool and dart ball.
Werner was a member of St. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church and the Msgr. Conrad Saile Knights of Colombus Council 1002, Antigo.
Survivors include a son, Warren Steve (Mary Sue) Andraschko, Duluth, Minnesota; a daughter, Connie Solin and special friend Tom Taggart, Antigo; seven grandchildren James (Lynda) Solin, Rachael(Joanne)Klistaui, Stephenie Smith, Kristin (Duane) Fogard, Karen (Adam) Rockwell, Karl (Stephanie) Andraschko, Kathryn (Eric) Anderson; eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Regina Jason, and Rita Seis; a brother, Alvin Andraschko; and two longtime companions Charlotte Olsen and Tess King.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 22, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday also at the funeral home.
