Rudolph Paul Ourada, age 88, of Reedsville, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Manor Care in Appleton.
Rudy was born on April 28, 1924 in Marathon County, son of the late James and Mary (Tikalsky) Ourada. On May 10, 1946 he married Cecilia Frisch at St. John's in Antigo, Wis. Rudy and Cel operated Rudy's Cafe in Antigo for many years. In 1972 they moved to Reedsville and Rudy became a chef at Kabat's Country Garden. He was also employed by the Reedsville Public School District and Hamilton Industries. Rudy was a member of the AMVETS, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Holy Family Parish. He was also an avid Packer and Brewer fan.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia (Frisch) Ourada of Reedsville, their children, Marlene and Steve Schultz of Hayward, Mike and Helen Ourada of Merrill, Katie and Bill Helphrey of Menasha, Barb and Larry Bauknecht of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Jan and Bill Behnke of Reedsville, John and Penny Ourada of Merrill, Joan and Mike Zipperer of Reedsville, Pat Ourada of Reedsville, Dave and Sue Ourada of Manitowoc, Paul and Brenda Ourada of Reedsville, Lori and Chris Rabideau of Katy, Texas; 27 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and one on the way; one sister and brother-in-law, Vi and Gene Zueske; five sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Darlene and a son, Jack; a great grandson, Jackson, brothers, sisters and other in-laws.

Funeral services will be 11 am on Thursday at Holy Family Parish in Brillion with the Rev. Timothy Brandt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Reedsville. Military rites will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 1032 of Reedsville. Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville from 4 pm until 7:30 pm on Wednesday. Deacon Steve Letourneaux will lead a prayer service at 7:30 pm. The visitation will continue at the church on Thursday morning from 9 am until 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up in Rudy's name. The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family. The Ourada family would like to thank St. Mary's Village, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Manor Care, Heartland Hospice and Bellin Health for the great care given to Rudy.
