Holly was born on September 30, 1979 to Jim and Sue (Moore) Wallace in Winterset, Iowa. She grew up in Menlo and attended Stuart-Menlo Schools later graduating from West Central High School with the class of 1998. While in school she played the flute and saxophone in band, was active in speech, member of the National Honor Society and was the co-salutatorian of her class. Following high school she attended the University of Northern Iowa and later Drake University where she graduated with a combination BA/BS degree in Accounting and Management. While in college she worked at PDI and Aveda. Following graduation from Drake, she worked at CITI Group in Des Moines in the mortgage department. For the last ten years she worked for the State of Iowa Department of Revenue as an auditor.

In her spare time, she loved reading, cooking and bowling. Holly loved to go fishing and hunting; skills she learned from her dad. After Jim’s death, Holly continued to hunt with his group. She loved to help people and was always there for her friends and family. Most of all she treasured the time she was able to spend with her son, Owen and her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Wallace; paternal grandparents, Buck and Norma Jean Wallace; and maternal grandparents, Andy and Helen Moore.

Holly leaves behind her son, Owen; mother, Sue Wallace; honorary-sisters, Michelle Bash and Kelly Bright; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
