Mrs. Darlene Swing Parsons, 81, of Lexington, died Tuesday, December 18 at her home, surrounded by family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 22 at Becks Refomed Church, by Pastors Ben Greene and Chris Elliott. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Saturday prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Parsons was born December 2, 1937 in Davidson County to Thurman Lee Brower and Elizabeth Thomason Tetter. She retired from Lexington Memorial Hospital, and was a member of Becks Reformed Church. Her husbands, Billy Lee Swing, and James Donald Parsons, her brother, Bobby Brower, and her sister, Shirley Lohr, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Swing Young (Todd), and Beth Swing Harris (Danny), both of Lexington; her grandchildren, Jacob Loman (Cassie), Christena Hearne (Justin), Laura Adams (Chad), and Sandra Flick (Andy); her great grandchildren, Hayden, Haylee, Ava, Ashlynn, Weston, Audrey, Clint, Sydney, Andrew, and Alex; her nieces and nephews, Freddie Fulbright (Kevin), Herbie Lohr (Wendy), and John Lohr (Susan); and Diane Bowen and her family, along with many other special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292 or to the Life Center of Davidson County, 601 W. Center St, Lexington NC 27292.
